  1. I know that the paper that we are being asked to write isn’t so much about our own opinions as it is critiquing another’s rhetoric; however, “No Unwounded Soldier” is a very important topic and needs to be discussed. Unfortunately, following the September 11th attacks, the unity, patriotism, and gratitude to those brave men and women (whether in uniform or not) quickly faded away. “All gave some, but some gave all.” It is a shame for anyone to call themselves Americans if they choose not to be thankful for those who gave/give their all so we can enjoy the life we have. I truly appreciate you making this one of the blog posts that you are contemplating to analyze.

  2. So I kinda wish this were more like facebook, so I could "like" Owen's comment, but since I can't, I'll just comment here that I "like it" and really agree with it!

  3. All three blogposts/article/things are good. I think the easiest to analyze would be the no unwounded soldier post.

  4. I think the first one is my favorite, but I know for myself it'd be harder to write about without making it sound too biased. I think the ghost story one is really interesting though! I think that'd be pretty easy to write about.

  5. I agree with Alex--I think the easiest of these to analyze is the soldier post; it seems to have the clearest rhetorical purpose of the three. The other two could be interesting to analyze as well, though, even if they might take more effort. Sounds like you're on the right track!

  6. Although it might be hard to write about, I can not describe how much I love the Disney songs article. It's so true that these wonderful songs get so left out! It's so sad too!

  7. i find it interesting how people regard the whole war business. i believe that a bumper sticker i saw that stated "support the troops, end the war" summarized how anti-war americans should feel because its not the soldiers' fault the country is mingling in others' business.
